It’s hard to talk about oneself, because it’s easy to fall into one of two extremes: either singing one’s own praises—which smacks of vanity—or painting an unflattering picture, which can also be a sign of vanity. Why is the second option vain, too? Because we all indulge in self-absorption. Whether secretly or openly, we are always focused on ourselves. That’s why I’d rather talk about my dreams than about myself. I dream of dedicating my life to my significant other, giving of myself completely. Yes, I’ll make mistakes and do things wrong sometimes, but is that any reason to fear relationships? I believe that people who avoid risk aren't really living... So let’s cast aside all the assumptions, suspicions, and fears, and just take a chance!
